After the romantic braided bun of my sister, here is the shell bun that I chose to wear for her wedding. The idea of a bun hull came to me when I found my strapless dress at BCBG Max Azria. This dress, I will introduce soon, was so original that I had to think of a hairstyle that is also a real twist ... a blend of rock and glam! Here is the detailed tutorial with pictures and a short video summary of this braided bun.
The bun
Originally, I wanted a simple bun with a hull and hair neatly clad in the back. Not having sufficient length (between square and half long), it was not possible to make a classic banana. Then we have been creative with what we had ... is a relatively traditional bun with strands a little crazy in the back ... and of course, her hull!
The 8-step tutorial
Separate the hair into 4 parts. The first that will form the hull, a second just behind that will add volume and two mini ponytails held each well centered with a rubber band.
Leaving hair ponytails are passed to the flat iron.
5 thick strands are formed from each mini bun and then fixed with pins.
The second part of the clamp is removed and brushed.
A well-rounded shape is given to this part, the ends are fixed on either side of the mini bun forming a wave.
The first part is creped up ... I almost tell Magali "What if we stopped there? ". Yeah, not great for a wedding anyway. It therefore continues!
This part is crimped to form a fixed shell which starts slightly to the side (your choice).
The strands that come out of this shell are also fixed by training the same movement as the curved part (towards the temples).
And we paint, we paint!

The result
I really love this hairstyle that gives off a lot and makes a face beautiful bust. Since I was wearing a strapless dress and do not have a very long neck, this choice was wise. A mix of elegance and whimsy.
Thank you to the friendly Magali for its realization and its nice explanations, working in Haute-Savoie in St Julien en Genevois Nathif the salon Coiffure (04.50.49.23.20).

very nice bun ... very original and seen from behind too!
@ Montaw: I dream to wear this hairstyle more often. Much less wise than a square smooth

@ Adele: And with your beautiful long hair, you can while you can!
@ Angelubies: The crazy thing is that I wore all (hair + dress) just a few hours!
@ Mademoisellesab: this video is superb (the bride too!) And I know it was like my sister. But it's still an element in the budget!
@ VesperL.: It's a surprise
I love it! This class is great ... and actually a point of rock and roll attitude! TOP!
Very nice, it fits you really well
@ Lafilledanssacabane: thank you for your visit! that day, I would have drunk like a bubble tea (thank you to discover on your blog!)
@ Ellen: thank you for your visit also. That's it, I tried to rebuild the hull at home. With nickel pins pro
Very pretty hair! I'm a fan! It's rock, glam and very feminine. This would be perfect with a strapless dress ^ ^
I wish I could do the same hairstyle. But I'm having a hard time holding my hair: they are much longer than yours ...
I love! It changes, it is elegant. Hate to see the outfit that went with it!
It's great I love the beautiful coast rock not stuffy as some may have buns.
I love, I find it very elegant!
@ Jennifer: thank you for your visit. If your hair is longer, actually two small buns will be less cute. But in the plating or finding another form, you can probably get a nice effect.
@ Emma: patience, I hope 2 weeks max!
@ Audrey: we are not far from the overdose of buns "bourgeois but the play is cool" in the streets of Paris, then all the better if we see the diversity.
Oh @ Beauty: thank you, thank
