Grand Fooding de l'été 2009 à Paris le bilan I made this Sunday at Domaine de Saint-Cloud in the 7th Grand Fooding summer, an event announcing a tasting outdoor original and trendy kitchen, thanks to the presence of Parisian chefs in vogue. Partners such as Ikea, San Pellegrino, Häagen Dazs ... that's heavy! Admission fees (10 euros) donated to Action against Hunger.

But what about the organization? We arrive in metro Pont de Saint-Cloud, we follow like sheep some people like picnickers grass ... that do not lead us on the right path to the final and also seek the input. Is that the label is sorely lacking.

Arrived at the main gate, there is at first surprised by the little tail. Normal is the press entrance. No, the public is down. And then we quickly understand that we will have to take our troubles patiently. A huge queue waiting for us in the dodger. (!) After 1:30 tail no message from the organizing team, water (while plentiful inside and fountains), we cross the gates of the park and start - the empty belly-direct with Ricard.

That is, all that was proposed, one of the best experiences. For the most sought after and refreshing.'s Ricardito, a cocktail made with Ricard, apple, mint, white celery and spinach created by a young Argentinian chef. Very good. You can find the recipe here .

As it was our first fooding, we were surprised to see people equipped with tablecloths and shopping bags. They were right, bugger! The servings were more about the bite and not really balanced in the end, for an event that revolves around the concept of "good food" ... a lot of beef, and virtually no vegetable and no fruit.
An absolutely monstrous queue for ice cream, we did not ultimately tested.

For cons, I would have missed it for the world Cyril Lignac. Although the staff has served me beef tenderloin too big to swallow (because it is not with my wooden fork that I was going to cut it), I happily asked for a picture with Cyril BEFORE 'having full mouth. Nice and natural, it lent itself to all smiles impromptu photo shoot in clouds of smoke.

For the rest of the food, it was not very spicy, not too cooked, or very original. In short, the cities that follow (Nice May 31, June 7, Lyon, Strasbourg June 14, Marseille and Toulouse June 21 June 28) will be able to enjoy without too much trouble and the Province show their creativity without too much punishment.

Also, I had read "plies Ikea" ... nice, it would be able to bask in the gardens of soft sheets and blankets! Nay. The tablecloths were actually colored patterned oilcloth for stands (we see the first photo).

Too bad because the concept was really nice and generous, the friendly atmosphere, the really ideal for a picnic giant, fantastic time.

You find another interesting article on this day here at The Taste of Paris.

And you, picnic lunch, picnic or not?

  1. Love

A concept that I do not know anything but that to me looks cool!

Too bad the organization have been so bad ... No indications and 1:30 tail without a word of the organization is not terrible indeed!

Nice photo with Cyril Lignac! ;)

    Good Monday

  2. Itty Bitty

I tried to go last year, but failed ... It's a shame but the events of fooding tjrs seem a bit overwhelmed by their success!

  3. It

I do not at all the great conaissais fooding of Paris! Well it looks really really nice! * _ * (Especially for the greedy! = D). How lucky to have met Cyril Lignac that in addition to being a talented look adorable!
the ice cream stand would indeed be shielded, given the heat he made to Paris!

  4. Kriss

    Well then without regret then!

  5. Jade

I've heard a lot about so I was expecting there to the crowd hihi suddenly I did not set foot, it bothered me ahead despite the entry for a good deed!

  6. larcenette

Just like you, I went there because it was my first experience, just like you, I waited, and like you, I stayed on my hunger ...

It takes me there are more :-/

  7. andara

I had heard about it but am not gone! Finally I do not regret too much not to be gone, because I'm not meat ;-)

  8. The chronicles of a blonde

I almost go then I gave up at the last moment and I did well because in all that I do not read negative reviews.

  9. @ Love: I hope you had a good Monday ... mine was very busy, in addition to being hot! Cyril is a nice guy, that's for sure.

@ Toutepetite: I can not really vouch for other events but I was probably too high expectations for this one!

@ It: yes, I would have started directly with the ice, it would be strategic ... and not so bad to accompany Ricard!

    @ Kris: no!

@ Jade: the right plan (but not shout too loud, right) is coming up with her boyfriend who is in the queue, when you you're sheltered under trees in the shade. It is sometimes cool to be a girl :)

@ Larcenette: nothing is anyway small sofas in the presence of Alain, right? Old, less trendy but still cute :)

@ Andara: it's better to take a look at the menu before you get there indeed! It is posted on the website of the event.

@ Leschroniquesduneblonde: I do not want to be too negative either, because the atmosphere was cool and full of people served as volunteers, and they did their best without doubt!

  10. Miss Violet

It looked very nice on paper but your decription does not really want me finally to go: too many people and not food and waiting to go ..

The principle is not against evil!

  11. sophiekune

I wanted to go but it did seem a little complicated with our minus.

  12. sublime

It's great this event can but good organization is not great from what I understand ... as always in the moment ... For water they could have made an effort ...

  13. LILIBOX

Fuming to say I can not go!
Now I do not have any regrets ...

  14. LN

    Cuckoo!
thank you for linké to my blog :-)
I see that you were as disappointed as me! But the 2008 was as well organized as creative ...
but there is no organization or signage, too meat, no water, late ... luckily I managed to taste 2 windows on three!

  15. @ Missviolette: there is in the world, I could live with it because it is often linked to the success of an event, but I imagined another presentation and other content!

@ Sophiekune: I saw families and apparently they could move more rapidly to the entrance. Fortunately! But as you can see from the picture, you do not find that so many children, especially in the heart of the event where music was thoroughly.

@ Sublime: I too have good memories of the organization "tip top" festivals in Switzerland. And there is not 2,000 people they manage in a day but three times!

@ Lilibox: thank you for your visit! I have also been disappointed because the day lent itself beautifully to a large picnic.

@ Ln: thank you for your visit! you were very lucky to ice. The right strategy would have been to start live by dessert!

  16. chris-azure

    hum! makes you hungry!

  17. Tode

Saw the photo with Cyril BEFORE you eat ... ;) There looks very nice on TV, and apparently it is also true, cool!

  18. annouchka

With that Larcenette is already the second negative review I read about it ... Me finally have to say that your 10 euros went to a good cause, that's something!

  19. @ Chris: um apart the ice, not much has made me feel. It should be hard it was so hot!
@ Tode: thank you for your visit. Cyril L is a workaholic and is always fresh, zen and enjoyable.
@ Annouchka: it remains in effect that it was a great initiative for Action against Hunger!

  20. Tode

I have some books for him at home, I would have liked to meet him! ...
